The Things in My Studio

So this is not from my studio…it’s from my friend Desi’s studio, which is right next door to mine…  If you knocked down the wall we’d be in the same studio.  Anyway, she is an AMAZING trompe l’oeil painter, and I love this painting with a ferocity unbeknown to man.  It’s one of her childhood drawings and I find hilarious and so beautifully painted.  So simple and so elegant… desireelynswanson: This is one of my favorite paintings that I recently finished.  Ive taken a drawing that I made (and remember being extremely proud of) in the first grade and I have recreated it trompe loeil style in oil paint.
